Logan is a fairly recent import to ND. He is the Assistant Editor of the Jamestown Sun. (Having been Editor in Chief of The Collegian back in college at JC – I can attest that can’t be an easy job!) I find his blog well written and enjoyable. Even if you aren’t from Jamestown – stop by and take a look. You might move here and like it too.

Then Ann, Shane, Trav, and Jess helped us start getting the various projects ready for the reception. We got a lot more done than we expected, so there is that much less to do tomorrow during the day. Dad is doing the tux run to Fargo, I am staying to help coordinate things at the house… and things are going from there.

It is all coming together though… so we are actually starting to relax about the planning stuff. It will be a lot of fun tomorrow to greet people as I see them.

I will try to get another post up sometime tomorrow!

Almost ready…

I have been talking to a number of people who are going to be heading this way soon, and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone.  It has been a pretty crazy process trying to get everything together and whatnot… but hey the results will be viewable later this very week lol!

The numbers have turned out to be around projections.  We should have just shy of 200 guests at the reception, and who knows how many coming to the dance lol.  It is Jamestown, so I think we are anticipating a decent amount of… unscheduled participants.  It is looking like it will be a fun old-fashon shindig… ie a good old time.

Yep this week

I really can’t wait to see all of the people next weekend.  I really think thats the thing that has me the most “how am I going to get this done” about the wedding.  I know I am going to be bouncing around the reception and dance like a ping-pong ball trying to visit with everyone… but it will be fun!

That all means though, that it is going to be a pretty mellow birthday today.  That is fine with me, had lots of fun this weekend, so a quiet dinner with a few folks will be perfect.

Fun weekend

So the guys will be taking me outa town tomorrow to have some fun.  Looking forward to hanging out with all of the guys no matter what we end up doing, so it will be fun no matter what.

Then on Monday (the 28th) I have my birthday.  While I am sure that will not entail anything like Sat night, birthdays are fun anyways… so it will be a fun couple of days there.

Bachelor Party and a Birthday!

Well, I think most of you guys have heard, Jennie and I have to move again…  we have been living in a house that was still for sale, and unfortunately it sold.  So we have to move.  These things happen, so we are rolling with it as best as we can.  It has been a bit of a scramble shopping around, more so with the rental house properties have been few and far between in Jamestown.

Good news is:  We have secured another place and things are going well there.  The staying in town will be in order to start moving little stuff, paint a room, etc.

The bad news… is that it means that there will be a moving party.

It looks like I will be staying in town this weekend in order to get some work done here, packing and maybe moving some small stuff.  However, the weekend of Saturday the 12th, we are hoping to get enough people together to do the big move.

I hate to ask all of our friends to help us move again, but it can’t be helped.  Already a decent number have let me know that they can help.  We have some great friends, so should be a pretty smooth process.
Jennie will be heading down to the cities tomorrow evening for her wedding shower down there.  I had hoped to be going down as well.  My mom has two sisters visiting from Washington, but they weren’t really planning on me being there, and with things in town, I would like to get a jump on things here.

So the girls should have a good weekend.  (Jennie had a couple of friends going with her.)  I should have a busy but productive weekend.  I may try to borrow a friends pickup and even get a couple of full loads brought over.  The big stuff will have to wait till the 12th, but I know we have a bunch of smaller things that I would be able to move by myself.

Barnard Wedding Plans progressing

On the top of my list is getting the invite list fully compiled.  ie – Jennie’s list and my list, and then have my mom let me know if I am missing any family friends on my list.  (Which I think I am… oops.)

Other than that, I know there is a small list of things Jennie and I made up a few days ago to get done, so plenty to do I am sure.

Other than that, there really isn’t a whole lot for “The Wedding Update” this week.  Keep tuned though today, I am planning on writing an additional post today.

The Wedding Update

Other than that, the flickr stuff is done. I have it set up well enough for now. I may jump it up to pro later so I can have more photo sets, but it works well for what I have up now. Though that can fall under the heading of future site tweaking.

As far as the weekend goes, it should go pretty well. Jennie’s mom and Dave are coming up to visit with us, so that will be a good time. I am sure we will get some more wedding stuff done, which is also good. The only downside is that I also have to work Saturday night dealing blackjack, but hopefully I will get done early enough to still be able to hang out some.
